This course has been quite the experience as an educator. The process and creation of the GAME plan has been insightful and a learning experience. The resources have been beneficial and I have been able to implement a lesson, which engages my students. The opportunities presented to students supported their learning with technology as they explored the lesson. I feel more confident in incorporating technology within my lessons.
The most vital piece of learning came from implementing the right tools into the lessons. In the tools and strategies, we read from our resources it was important to utilize the right tool to extend and enrich the lesson taught within the classroom. The impact has enlighten my perspective when creating a lesson or supplementing material into a lesson.
The immediate adjustment is time in the lesson. The planning is complete however; the implementation of the timing can be off or will not be beneficial. The ideas can work out while planning but when conducting the lesson in the classroom the dynamics can change. I think having a well thought out plan with many tools and trying the tools in shorter lessons might help. In introducing tools to students by spreading them out could reflect how they will do in the whole lesson. In introducing technology, one piece at a time will present to students a learning experience.
Reflecting/Standards/Goals
In reviewing and understanding standards in the many realms of the educational world gives a deeper insight in what goals we bring to our students. The particular standards set forth for educators in the areas of technology are important to set clear expectations when conducting a lesson within the classroom. The GAME process has been a revelation and learning experiences as both an educator and conducting the lessons within the classroom. In meeting the goals, I have gained knowledge and set up the process and steps to meet the goals for my students’ and myself. The progress has seemed slow and frustrating to find the time to implement the lessons within a full curriculum day. It is important to pinpoint the key goals and address them in a way, which you understand when bringing to your students.
In visiting the site again and reviewing the standards, set forth continues to drive instruction. The GAME plan process breaks down the steps to develop a well thought out plan. In doing so students will also meet other goals and hopeful can reflect and carry on meeting the goals as they continue through the activity. Meeting certain goals continues to be a battle within the classroom. I feel I have the strategies, tools, knowledge, however not the time to squeeze into classroom instruction. In having students, work toward proficiency can be attainable and will take additional effort. It can be done with management, experience, and planning. Revising Your GAME Plan.
Goal-To further understand and implement these standards by utilizing technology within the classroom.
1.c. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity
c. promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes.
2.b. Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments
b.develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become
active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress.
The goals I have chosen still hold a solid foundation in continuing my Game Plan. I feel strongly that I have achieved the environment in which the technology I want to meet can evolve within. The building and implementing of creativity to grow in the activities set forth for students has been established. The understanding upon reflection and communicating with peers has been practiced and completed. The opportunities provided to students have been positive in going in the direction I had envisioned for the goals for students to meet. The door that has been opened created an avenue for students to share their thoughts and comments in way, which they felt comfortable.
I have learned a lot in the ways of how students collaborate with other students in their learning. The resources have discussed the attributes of working with others and how to include this in lessons online.
I continue to set the foundation of meeting my second goal of working online with the Blog. The importance of sharing and communicating students’ feelings about math is a goal I want to achieve. I think building the discussions first and then applying to an online resource will be the first step. Time is still an issue and I hope to encompass this topic into my day. In working this into a day, I encourage students to continue to have goals and assess their own learning through activities.

Evaluation of the GAME plan.
This week, I took a few moments to look back at my first blog titled, “Game Plan” to review and make sure I am heading in the right direction. I had to read over my goals to clarify what exactly I was implementing and wanting my students’ to engage in within the activities. My online colleagues also gave great feedback to assist in my continued journey through this process and how I reflect upon my gains and challenges.
The effectiveness I feel is improving my students’ knowledge of the technological world through meeting these goals. Even the simplest of instructional methods are more apparent and important to educate to our students. Students are taking steps to create and work on their own skills as a modern learner.
I have learned a lot so far in creating an environment in which students are productive and inspired. I have worked to bring visual aids into the room to incorporate into my goals. In doing so, students can take these tools to create and present their understanding in their own creative outlet.
My goals to incorporate students collaboration through blogs is at a standstill. I feel I have the tools and support of an enriching environment, the creative inspiration however the process of a whole class blog has me stumped. I know I have the direction the motivation of my student, however time..time seems to be lacking.
In adjusting my plan I need to rethink, set more time aside and maybe start in small groups to communicate their thoughts through the blog. I do want to work in the area of math as expressed in my discussion. I feel by starting this way I will have a greater success in achieving my students’ goals.
